Jill Barr is a Certified Family Law Specialist, Board of Legal Specialization, State Bar of California and has practiced family law for over thirty years. Ms. Barr handles all types of family law matters, including marital and domestic partnership dissolution, property division, child custody, support matters and modification or post-judgment proceedings. Ms. Barr is trained as a Collaborative Attorney and is also on the Special Master panel for the Sacramento County Superior Court. Ms. Barr has been trained to represent minors and has been appointed as Minor’s Counsel in many family law matters.
Ms. Barr has assisted hundreds of individuals through their complex family law matters either through litigation or settlement. While being a strong and tenacious advocate for her clients, she also counsels clients, when appropriate, as to favorable resolutions outside of litigation.
Jill sought to specialize in family law years ago due to her desire to assist families through what is often described as the most difficult time in their lives. Over the years, Ms. Barr has donated her time and continues to be active in various family law organizations on a local and statewide level. Ms. Barr believes that it is imperative to continuously strive to improve the family law system and her participation and leadership in family law organizations is in furtherance of that belief system.
